DBT Star College Programme

Note : On 3rd February, 2015 our dept. of Physiology was organized seminar cum hands on training Programme on Transgenic application in human Physiology, Stereotaxic mechanism for brain surgery and ECG, EEG, EMG recorded Techniques demonstrated by Prof. Chandradeepa Ghosh, HOD, Dept of Human physiology with Community Health, Vidyasagar University, Prof. Tushar Kanti Ghosh, Dept. of physiology, University of Calcutta and Mr Sandip Majumdar from Biopack Systems INC .

Note : On 24th February 2015, department was organized a seminar delivered by Prof Prakash Chandra Dhara, Senior professor Dept. of Physiology with Community Health, Vidyasagar University on Modern approach on Ergonomics with designing of different tools used by Human beings. The programme was inaugurated by Mr Tarapada Pal, President of Governing body of the college and other faculty members, Teacher in charge were attended.
About 130 students and research scholars were attended the said two programmes and actively interacted with the subject contents. On behalf of the dept. Dr. DIlip Kumar Nandi was given welcome address as well as mentioned the previous activities of the department.DBT star programme coordinator Dr. Partha Pratim Chakravorty was presented the perspective of DBT star college programme. Dr. Tanushree Tulsian (Samanta) senior assistant Professor of the dept. opf physiology was co-ordinated all the programmes.

Note : As per curriculum of our 35 students were visited higher learning institution named Defence Institute of Physiology and allied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO, New Delhi on 7th November, 2014 exchange of their theoretical knowledge on human physiology through different practical experiments in different laboratories with their scientists who are working in the esteemed institute.

Note : On 4th & 5th August 2015 a seminar on ‘microscale engineering of three dimentional cell culture’ organized by four departments of Physiology, Zoology, Botany and Mathematics. Prof Tapas Kumar Maiti, Dept. of Bio technology, IIT Kharagpur delivered attractive speech on this topic. Hands on training on Fow Cytometry was demonstrated very interestingly by Dr Sanjaya Mallick, Director & chief scientist of Cytometry solutions Pvt Ltd. Kolkata and Prof Sebak Kumar Jana, Vidyasagar University was demonstrated statistical softwares. More than 50 college teacher and students of our college and other colleges were participated in the two days seminar and hands on workshop. Dr Jayasree Laha, our dynamic principal was preside this programme and Dr Parthapratim Chakravorty, Dr Dilip Kumar Nandi, Dr Biswajit Mondal, Dr Sukumar Mondal, Dr Rupa Das Gupta were organized the seminar.
